"Dwell in the solution," which is shorthand for something a Christian
writer named Emmet Fox once said, which was, "Do not dwell in
the problem, dwell in the solution; the solution is God."
Now my father didnt believe in God, but he believed in the
existence of the sacred, of the holy; it was pretty hard not
to believe in anything in the face of Bach, or our mountain.

We need your prayers.
Growing ones own business isnt for sissy's.
Important decisions loom around every corner.
I think we have the biggest decision of a life time coming at us this week.
We need your prayers..so that  we make the right choice for us.
2 long years we've been at this.
Growth has been slow but steady. There's been enough growth to keep me hopeful. Barely.
3 strong personalities at the helm. (I just listen.)
We all just want to do the right thing for long term benefits.
I wish God would crack open the heavens for just a moment and yell down to us what we should do.
ha!
We pray and we are still confused...its that stupor of thought...but we dont know the cause.
Pray for us please.

Peace

This Is How My Week Looked

There came a time, he realized, when the strangeness of everything
made it increasingly difficult to realize the strangeness of anything.

(I wish this was the scene at our house)

The mailbox that hangs by our front door contained a water bill.  A water bill so exorbitantly high that it was cause for serious alarm.  A hole was dug...to investigate.  Come to find out that there is a leak...leak is the wrong word..for that suggest a dripping...a small giser might describe it better...from the main water line to the house. It became the city's problem.  But alas..it seems to be my problem still..for it still spouts water into an unseen underground stream somewhere.  The city has done nothing but put up an orange barrier around the hole and have not returned to repair it.  The tree hugger in me is fuming.  So much water wasted.  100s of thousands of gallons!! And I see no way to stop the madness!!

The  sweet boss lady at work called me the sexiest waitress in the joint.  I know shes lying. (that would be a sad state of affairs if she werent)  But she loves me.  And of course there is a part of me that wants to believe her.

Today's Sunday School lesson gave me fits. (I suppose they all will)  Todays topic was Baptisms for the Dead.
Ugh
But I suppose it'll be a walk in Merlin Olsen Park compared to the lesson coming up in 2 weeks.  The subject matter ... The martyrdom of Joseph Smith.  (Did I already tell you that I dont enjoy the Doctrine and Covenants?) Teaching is even harder than I imagined it would be.

I'm back to the point that I'll give up food before I'll give up my beloved Pepsi. And I often do.  For so long...when I was on the wagon...I would tell people and myself that I didnt want to drink my calories. Well you woulnt recognize me now...as I blissfully guzzle them down now.

Its been quite a few years since I've done any water bath canning.  This week  I bottled some delicious apricots.  They'll help this winter to be a little brighter.  Thats the hope anyway.  They already make me happy, just lined up there on the counter.

The semi-annual Man vs Grill took place this week at Center Street Grill.
There was barfing.
And there were a couple of "winners."
Are you really a 'winner' of you can shove down a 3 1/2 pound burger in less than 45 minutes?
You decide.
I got to clean up.
ps- the grill wins ...the majority of the time.

My Builder promised me a puppy.
But I can't remember how long he said I'd have to wait.

How do you spell T-E-N-S-E?
There is rabbit food news.  There are several very hopeful prospects and possibilities for improvements.  But I cant talk about them....for I 'get too emotional.'  Maybe after it becomes old news I can then discuss it with My Builder. Maybe then My Builder and I can talk again.  The same thing goes for conversing about the future....I 'get too emotional.'  So we dont talk about that either.  What do we talk about?  The promise of puppies and our beautiful grands. That'll do.

More hot flashes.
Less sleep.

WEST WING..out new favorite tv series.  Plus there is no need for talking. We watch, we laugh, we learn. Not a bad deal.  Thank you good actors and writers for such a great show!

Im reading again!!  Im halfway through a wonderful book. Its the one I was carrying around in my purse for so long.  Its a treat.  And all you readers out there have undoubtedly read it already...The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society...(quite a mouth full.)   I can now   check # 15 off the below list.  Whew.

Not a bad week my friends.
Peace

This rabbit business is a family affair.  Its time consuming and relentless in all the little and big things that need doing.
To ease the pressure and take away some added worry or stress...I have volunteered to take over the responsibility for the Sherwood Forest blog.  Not sure what direction its going to take yet.  I know I dont know much about anything when it comes to rabbits...but I'm willing to learn...like I did today.  I learned about rabbit teeth. Saw some horrific pictures from vets about what can go wrong with bunny teeth...and Im sure Im not going to share that!!  But I did learn some new things...and if you're interested...go Here to read my simple words of wisdom.
Now Im going to ask you...yes YOU... for ideas and for input about what I should or could write about to share with the rabbit loving world.  Ask me questions, give me some ideas, Please!!! If you know anyone who'd like to guest post...please let me know  that too!!
The suggestion box is open!!!
And I thank you!!

The minutes, hours, and days are going by maddeningly slow!!
(with no hiking this week to distract)
Some big wigs in Idaho are going over a carefully constructed proposal from Sherwood Forest Natural Rabbit Food.  They are VERY interested in what we have to offer the pet food market...especially for bunny rabbits.  They've already met once with David and My Builder ...and asked that they write up a proposal on how we envision working together. And now we wait...We are  hoping for a perfect marriage!!! We hope that good things come of it.
Thursday is the big day.  The talking heads and the thinking heads will be meeting once again in freezing Idaho.
If...it should turn out to not be a perfect union...we wont be too worried...just disappointed.
For we already know we have something the rabbit lovers want.  An increasing number of orders for food come in each day.  We realize that our growth will be slower on our own...but we know we have the perfect products. We are getting rave reviews!!
Please root for us!! Pray for us....that the meeting of the minds goes well!!

My Builder is Building again!  This time with our brillant son in law. For over a year now My Builder has been helping David build a website for the rabbit food that David formulated. As of this day...the website is hit about 10,000 times a month. People are itching for the food to be produced and so they can buy it!!.  We tried having a mill produce it...but that didnt turn out too well.  So these two perfectionists have decided to mill the food themselves.
About a month ago...David and My Builder signed a contract for a warehouse in Logan where they plan on milling and bagging the perfect rabbit food.  Now the equipment is in place and the ingredients are ordered and the last minute details are falling into place.
Im keeping my fingers crossed, but our  enthusiasm, and optimism is high...We're anticipating that the  feed bags will start flying out the door via parcel post!!

My Builder writes:
"A few more pics of the setup, and the mixer being delivered a couple weeks ago. The equipment looks old (they are), but they're goodies. Stainless steel inside parts on the pellet mill. The pellet mill is the dirty looking gray piece and weighs about 6000 pounds, and was a trick lifting with the forklift and getting it to fit on the stand and mate up with the top piece as well. We power washed everything, so it's clean now, but needs a new coat of paint.

The mill was built in the 50's but they still make parts for these mills back in PA. They were built like tanks and there are still a lot of them in use. We bought a new SS die that came from their plant in Holland. Just need to add some chutes, augers and bins and we should be making pellets in the next couple weeks."

after a nice green paint job!!! Almost new!!

Go here for more clarifying details on whats going on in Logan and with the rabbit food business!!
