The folks who are  getting the free stuff, don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

The folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop, and the folks who are getting the free stuff
want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now... The people who are forcing the people who pay for the free stuff have told the  people who are RECEIVING the free stuff, that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff, are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.

So... The people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff, and giving them the free stuff in the first place.

We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people  getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.

Now understand this.  All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded.  The reason?
The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 235 years ago.  The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that.  In 2012.  Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.
ELECTION 2012 IS COMING  A Nation of Sheep Breeds a Government of Wolves!

"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money".  --  Margaret Thatcher

Sometime this year, we taxpayers will again receive another 'Economic Stimulus' payment.

This is indeed a very exciting program, and I'll explain it by
using a Q & A format:

Q. What is an 'Economic Stimulus' payment ?

A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q.. Where will the government get this money ?

A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money ?

A. Only a smidgen of it.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment ?

A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a
high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?

A. Shut up.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the U.S. economy by
spending your stimulus check wisely:

* If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China or Sri Lanka .

* If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the Arabs.

* If you purchase a computer, it will go to India , Taiwan or China .

* If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico , Honduras and Guatemala ..

* If you buy an efficient car, it will go to Japan or Korea .

* If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan .

* If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.

Instead, keep the money in America by:

1) Spending it at yard sales, or

2) Going to ball games, or

3) Spending it on prostitutes, or

4) Beer or

5) Tattoos.

(These are the only American businesses still operating in the U.S. )

Conclusion:

Go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute that you met at a yard sale and drink beer all day !

No need to thank me, I'm just glad I could be of help.

(thanks bro, for the smile and the tear)

Politicians are the same all over.
They promise to build a bridge
even when there is no river.
from: A Train to Potevka
by: Mike Ramsdell
quoting Nikita Khrushchev

I don’t know if you have been following the latest political ‘crap’ going on (I haven’t really; but for the last several months I’ve just been keeping tabs on who is saying what)? Here is my summary – and I’m not making this up…

Republicans: “The Democrats spend too much, they want to extend unemployment benefits (normally they last about 6 months – we are going on 36 months now).”

Democrats: “The Republicans are at fault for the big deficit – the Bush tax cuts are causing the problem. We should raise taxes on the rich.”

Republicans & Democrats: “We can’t allow the other side to have what they want unless they figure out a way to pay for what they want. The deficit is too large, it is the biggest problem our country has.”

Yesterday, ‘they’ just came up with a “deal” which ‘satisfies’ both sides:

1. Extend Bush tax cuts for everyone (this will increase the deficit) – Republicans get what they want

2. Extend unemployment benefits for another 13 months (this will increase the deficit) – Democrats get what they want

3. Institute a payroll tax reduction (this will increase the deficit) – uh, where did this come from? Obama thinks this will increase employment

4. Decrease the social security tax (this will increase the deficit) – uh, if I recall, SS is already going bankrupt, I guess this will just help it along.

Amazing!!! When speaking, the politicians say, “cut the deficit,” when acting, they spend more and reduce taxes….this is insanity. And (given what is happening in Europe – where they are facing the problems resulting from these kinds of policies) our elected officials are leading us into financial ruin. Just my thoughts.

I've stumbled upon this picture a few times as I surf the web.
And it disturbs me every time I look at it.
I know people who are struggling with family members who are trying to 're-enter' life as we know if, after serving a tour of duty in the Middle East. I hate that the war and or the lack of attention that our veterans deserve could be contributing to these marks on the wall.
So..... whenever I have a political question or diplomacy question...or a tough question, I turn to my brother. I asked him to tell me what he thinks about this photograph...
here is his response:

"What is disturbing about the picture? That because we are so good at war (or our current enemy sucks so bad), more of our people kill themselves than are killed by the enemy. Maybe that is good news. The rate of suicide in the military is very close to the rate in the civilian population overall for the same age group. Even during the toughest times in Iraq (2005-2007) the rate of US casualties was barely above the murder rate for African-American men of the same age group living in US cities.

Watch out for the BIG LIES. The best example of one of the BIG LIES is: ‘reality TV.’

Other big lies: (1) that what ENRON did was illegal, (2) that the current financial crisis is anyone’s fault other than those that borrowed more than they could afford (including the US Government), (3) that what we are fighting for in Iraq/Afghanistan/Philippines/Pakistan/Africa/Columbia/etc. is not worth it, and (4) that we can’t do anything about the size of our government.

Obama awards Medal of Honor to Iowa staff sergeant

AP – President Barack Obama presents the Medal of Honor to Army Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta during a ceremony 11-16-2010

WASHINGTON – An Army staff sergeant who stepped into the line of fire to help a pair of comrades on the Afghan battlefield received the Medal of Honor on Tuesday — the nation's top military award.

President Barack Obama awarded the medal to Salvatore Giunta at a White House ceremony, making the 25-year-old Iowan the first living service member from the Iraq or Afghanistan wars to be so honored. Seven others have received the award posthumously.

Obama called Giunta a solider who is "as humble as he is heroic" and said the ceremony was a "joyous occasion."

The Army says Giunta was a rifle team leader in eastern Afghanistan's Korengal Valley when his squad was split in two after an ambush by insurgents. While under fire, Giunta pulled a fellow soldier to cover and rescued another who was being dragged away by the enemy.

A Pastor with GUTS! Thought you might enjoy this interesting prayer given in Kansas at the opening session of their Senate. It seems prayer still upsets some people.. When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.. We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.....

We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.. Amen!

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest. In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India , Africa and Korea . Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,'and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'one nation under God.'

I got shot down over N Vietnam in 1967, a Sqdn. Commander. After I returned in 1973...I published 2 books that dealt a lot with "real torture" in Hanoi. Our make-believe president is branding our country as a bunch of torturers when he has No idea what torture is.

As for me, I was put thru a mock execution because I would not respond.. Pistol whipped on the head.... same event.. Couple of days later... Hung by my feet all day. I escaped and a couple of weeks later, I got
Shot and recaptured. Shot was OK... what happened afterwards was not. They marched me to Vinh... put me in the rope trick, trick... almost Pulled my arms out of the sockets. Beat me on the head with a Little wooden rod until my eyes were swelled shut, and my unshot, unbroken hand a pulp. Next day hung me by the arms... rebroke my right wrist... wiped out the nerves in my arms that control the hands.... rolled my fingers up into a ball. Only left the slightest movement of my forefinger. So I started answering with some incredible lies. Sent me to Hanoi strapped to a barrel of gas in the back of a truck. Hanoi... on my knees.... rope trick again. Beaten by a big fool. Into leg irons on a bed in Heartbreak Hotel. Much kneeling--hands up at Zoo. Really bad beating for refusing to condemn Lyndon Johnson. Several more kneeling events. I could see my knee bone thru Kneeling holes. There was an escape from the annex to the Zoo. I was the Senior Officer of a large building because of escape they started a mass Torture of all commanders.

I think it was July 7, 1969... they started beating me with a car fanbelt. In the first 2 days I took over 300 strokes... then stopped counting because I never thought I would live thru it. They continued day-night torture to get me to confess to a non-existent part in the escape. This went on for at least 3 days. On my knees... fan belting... cut open my scrotum with fan belt stroke. Opened up Both knee holes again. My fanny looked like hamburger... I could not lie on my back. They tortured me into admitting that I was in on the escape... and that my 2 room-mates knew about it. The next day I denied the lie. They commenced torturing me again with 3- 6- or 9-strokes of the fan belt everyday from about July 11 or 12th… to 14 October 1969. I continued to refuse to lie about my roommates again. Now, the point of this is that our make-believe President has declared to the world that we (U.S.) are a bunch of torturers... Thus it will be OK to torture us next time when they catch us... because that is what the U.S. Does.
Our make-believe President is a know-nothing fool who thinks that pouring a little water on some one's face, or hanging a pair of women's pants over an Arabs head,is TORTURE...
He is a meathead. I just talked to MOH holder, Leo Thorsness, who was also in my squadron, in jail... as was John McCain... and we agree that McCain does not speak for the POW group when he claims that Al Gharib was Torture... or that "water boarding" is torture.

Our president and those fools around him who keep bad mouthing our great country are a disgrace to the United States. Please pass his info on to Sean Hannity. He is free to use it to point out the Stupidity of the claims that water boarding...which has no after Effect...is torture. If it got the Arab to cough up the story about how he planned the attack on the twin towers in NYC...
Hurrah for the guy who poured the water.

Glenn Beck is on my radar again. I listen to him most mornings...(when Im not hiking) I have been for years now. I find him funny, brilliant, intense, and honest.
He's a breath of fresh air.
A few years ago I read his book- An Inconvenient Book- and found it to be humorous and educational. It was definitely worth reading.
This week it was my dad who mentioned Glenn Beck. He told me he was reading one of the first books Glenn had written. Dad was thoroughly enjoying every page. After he finished, he lent it to me. In this older book of Glenn's, he talks about everything that is relevant to whats going on today in our country. And that would be par for the course for Glenn...he's many, many steps ahead of the ball and even back in 2003 he could predict bad things com'in down the pike for us here in sleepy, lazy America. But as is his talent and brilliance...he also has solutions , things we Real Americans can do to wake us all up.
Glenn writes about his family, friends and faith. (he shares his conversion story to Mormonism! Its fascinating!!)
Its often laugh out loud funny.
Nobody in Hollywood is safe from his wrath and ridicule.
Its a wonderful, fast and enlightening read. Every Real American should read this book!!!
Im giving it 5 stars!!!

The Gun is Civilization

Interesting take and one you don't hear much ...

As the Supreme Court hears arguments for and against the Chicago, IL Gun Ban, I offer you another stellar example of a letter (written by a Marine) that places the proper perspective on what a gun means to a civilized society.

Read this eloquent and profound letter and pay close attention to the last paragraph of the letter..

The Gun is Civilization by Maj. L. Caudill USMC (Ret)
Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that's it.
In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.
When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force. The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender. There are plenty of people who consider the gun as the source of bad force equations. These are the people who think that we'd be more civilized if all guns were removed from society, because a firearm makes it easier for a [armed] mugger to do his job. That, of course, is only true if the mugger's potential victims are mostly disarmed either by choice or by legislative fiat--it has no validity when most of a mugger's potential marks are armed. People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the many, and that's the exact opposite of a civilized society. A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly. Then there's the argument that the gun makes confrontations lethal that otherwise would only result in injury. This argument is fallacious in several ways. Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser.
People who think that fists, bats, sticks, or stones don't constitute lethal force watch too much TV, where people take beatings and come out of it with a bloody lip at worst. The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level. The gun is the only weapon that's as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weight lifter. It simply wouldn't work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn't both lethal and easily employable. When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone.
The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation... and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.
By Maj. L. Caudill USMC (Ret)

So the greatest civilization is one where all citizens are equally armed and can only be persuaded, never forced.

(thanks dad)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fellow Americans,

Please know: I am Black; I grew up in the segregated South. I did not vote
for Barack Obama; I wrote in Ron Paul's name as my choice for president.
Most importantly, I am not race conscious. I do not require a Black president
to know that I am a person of worth, and that life is worth living. I do not
require a Black president to love the ideal of America .

I cannot join you in your celebration. I feel no elation. There is no smile on my
face. I am not jumping with joy. There are no tears of triumph in my eyes.
For such emotions and behavior to come from me, I would have to deny all that
I know about the requirements of human flourishing and survival -- all that
I know about the history of the United States of America, all that I know about
American race relations, and all that I know about Barack Obama as a politician. I would have to deny the nature of the "change" that Obama
asserts has come to America.

Most importantly, I would have to abnegate my certain understanding that
you have chosen to sprint down the road to serfdom that we have been on
for over a century. I would have to pretend that individual liberty has no
value for the success of a human life. I would have to evade your rejection
of the slender reed of capitalism on which your success and mine depend.
I would have to think it somehow rational that 94 percent of the 12 million
Blacks in this country voted for a man because he looks like them (that
Blacks are permitted to play the race card), and that they were joined by
self-declared "progressive" whites who voted for him because he doesn't
look like them.

I would have to wipe my mind clean of all that I know about the kind of people who have advised and taught Barack Obama and will fill posts in
his administration -- political intellectuals like my former colleagues at the
Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.

I would have to believe that "fairness" is equivalent of justice. I would
have to believe that a man who asks me to "go forward in a new spirit of
service, in a new service of sacrifice" is speaking in my interest. I would
have to accept the premise of a man that economic prosperity comes from
the "bottom up," and who arrogantly believes that he can will it into
existence by the use of government force.
I would have to admire a man who thinks the standard of living of the
masses can be improved by destroying the most productive and the
generators of wealth.

Finally, Americans, I would have to erase from my consciousness the
scene of 125,000 screaming, crying, cheering people in Grant Park,
Chicago irrationally chanting "Yes We Can!" And finally, I would have
to wipe all memory of all the times I have heard politicians, pundits,
journalists, editorialists, bloggers and intellectuals declare that capitalism
is dead -- and no one, including especially Alan Greenspan, objected to
their assumption that the particular version of the anti-capitalistic men-
tality that they want to replace with their own version of anti-capitalism
is anything remotely equivalent to capitalism.

So you have made history, Americans. You and your children have
elected a Black man to the office of the president of the United States,
the wounded giant of the world. The battle between John Wayne and
Jane Fonda is over -- and Fonda won. Eugene McCarthy and George
McGovern must be very happy men. Jimmie Carter, too. And the
Kennedys have at last gotten their Kennedy look-a-like. The self-right-
eous welfare statists in the suburbs can feel warm moments of satisfaction-
for having elected a Black person.

So, toast yourselves: 60s countercultural radicals, 80s yuppies and 90s
bourgeois bohemians. Toast yourselves, BlackAmerica. Shout your glee
Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Duke, Stanford, and Berkeley. You have
elected not an individual who is qualified to be president, but a Black
man who, like the pragmatist Franklin Roosevelt, promises to "Do
Something!" You now have someone who has picked up the baton of
Lyndon Johnson's Great Society. But you have also foolishly traded
your freedom and mine -- what little there is left -- for the chance to feel
good.

There is nothing in me that can share your happy obliviousness.
God Help Us all ...

OMG!!!!!

On a recent Glenn Beck Show, he had a graph that illustrated the percentage of each past president's cabinet who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet. You know what the private business sector is... a real life businses, not a government job. Here are the percentages discussed by Mr. Beck.

T. Roosevelt........ 38%
Taft.....................40%
Wilson ................... 52%
Harding................49%
Coolidge.............. 48%
Hoover ................. 42%
F. Roosevelt......... 50%
Truman..................50%
Eisenhower.......... 57%
Kennedy............... 30%
Johnson................47%
Nixon.................... 53%
Ford..................... 42%
Carter................... 32%
Reagan.................56%
GH Bush.............. 51%

Clinton ................. 39%
GW Bush............. 55%

And the winner of the Chicken Dinner is..............

Obama................ 8% !!!

Yep! Thats right! Only Eight Percent!!!..the least by far of the last 19 presidents!! And these people are trying to tell our big corporations how to run their business? They know what's best for GM...Chrysler... Wall Street... and you and me?

How can the president of a major nation and society...the one with the most successful economic system in world history... stand and talk about business when he's never worked for one?.. or about jobs when he has never really had one??!
And neither has 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers.! They've spent most of their time in academia, government
and/or non-profit jobs....or as "community organizers" ..when they should have been in an employment line.

Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our
next secret weapon. A happiness weapon.
A beauty bomb. And every time a crisis developed,
we would launch one. It would explode high in the
air - explode softly - and send thousands, millions,
of little parachutes into the air. Floating down to
earth - boxes of Crayolas. And we wouldn't go cheap,
either - not little boxes of eight. Boxes of sixty-four,
with the sharpener built right in. With silver and
gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime,
amber and umber and all the rest. And people
would smile and get a little funny look on their faces
and cover the world with imagination.

This is too true to be funny...

The next time you hear a politician use the
word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about
whether you want the 'politicians' spending
YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,
but one advertising agency did a good job of
putting that figure into some perspective in
one of it's releases.
A..
A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B.
A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C.
A billion hours ago our ancestors were
living in the Stone Age.
D.
A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E.
A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes,
at the rate our government is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain...
let's take a look at New Orleans .....
It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division.
Louisiana Senator,
Mary Landrieu (D)
asked Congress for
250 BILLION DOLLARS
to rebuild New Orleans .. Interesting number...
what does it mean?
A.
Well... if you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans
(every man, woman, and child)
you each get $516,528.
B.
Or... if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C..
Or... if you are a family of four...
your family gets $2,066,012.
Imagine, now $700 billion bailing out banks in the US . That's enough to fund complete medical care for every man, woman and child currently alive in the US for 11 years!!
50 billion to bail out the auto industry???
Washington , D.C.
&
Ottawa ON.
HELLO!!!
Are all our calculators broken??

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY???
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago...
and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt...
We had the largest middle class in the world..
and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What happened?
Can you spell 'politicians!'
And I still have to
press '1'
for English.

What the heck happened???
Such a tragedy!!This is a very sad story about a bear. Everybody should heed the warning to not feed wildlife because they become dependent and cannot forage for themselves anymore. This is such a tragedy to see what they have done to our country's wildlife! The photo below captures a disturbing trend that is beginning to affect US wildlife . . . .... Animals that were formerly self-sufficient are now showing signsof belonging to the Democratic Party.... as they have apparentlylearned to just sit and wait for the government to step in and providefor their care and sustenance. This photo is of a Democratic black bear in Montana nicknamed .. .. .Bearack Obearma.
