Oh my. I fought the urge to go try In and Out Burgers. I tried. I really really tried. Thought it was just one of those "fad" things. But I succumbed, and now I will have to admit I'M HOOKED! They are my FAVORITE hamburgers (right up there with Fuddruckers!).
And forget all the "animal style" and "secret" stuff. Just give me a hamburger with onions. No cheese. Nothing special. Just a burger with fresh lettuce, a thick slice of tomato, and a nice big chunk of onion and I am oh so very very happy! And since we are making a concerted effort to eat out less, and to eat less meat, I will have to savor every bite even more. Who ever would have thought that $1.79 could bring me so much joy!
Next time you come my way, let's sneak off and go eat TWO!(But hold the fries. I do NOT like their fries. McDonald's wins that contest hands down!).
