Who is this guy!!???
And why dont his grandparents change one iota?

This picture is 7 years old!!! And even though my parents dont age a day...the same cant be said for my "baby."
7 short years ago Bri was a puny 5 ft tall. He was 12 years old. Had no facial hair and no muscle tone. He had questionable friends and shaky self confidence. Maybe he wasnt battling acne problems, but he also didnt have a vision for his future.

7 years later...
He fills out his collar, can do push-ups with his nephew sitting on his back. He now stands at a height that would give most of us a case of vertigo. He loves his family. He has a gaggle of good friends. He has a vision and motivation for a bright future.

7 years ago he stood out front of our church build here, after having just received his first priesthood ordination. Here you see him as a newly ordained deacon. By the laying on of hands by men in authority he had been given the power of the Aaronic Priesthood.
Its safe to say that he didnt understand what it meant. He, like most boys of that age had no clue about the power and authority that was then his to use in righteousness.
7 years later.....he knows a LOT more.
But not everything.
But he is now a sponge and willing and wanting to learn more.
He has gained his own personal witness of the truths he has been taught at home and at church. He can now stand alone and knows what he knows.
Thus his willingness to sacrifice 2 years of his life to serve.
May the blessings of heaven continue to shower down on this fine young man. May the next few months fly by for him, as this is his greatest wish right now, so that he can get started on this next exciting adventure in his life.
Also...
May his bizarre sleep dis-order remedy itself and soon. For life at the MTC is rough enough, without having to deal with being a vampire...ie....sleeping all day and being awake all night.
Isnt it amazing what 2555 days can do!!!??
