So...we have this boy...man... son...that grabbed the bull by the horns, and saw a once in a lifetime opportunity and took it!!!  In about a months time he heard about the opportunity to "help" a BYU professor, and decided to go to Kenya as his gopher.  This meant shots, money, research and courage all to be collected in 30 odd days.  Tonight hes on a plane, by himself,  headed to Amsterdam.  Hes using a buddy pass...which always spells trouble and inconvenience in my experience.  He was successful leaving Salt Lake...he flew to JFK in first class!!! Lucky dog!!  From there he was supposed to fly on to Paris.  But true to form, the plane was full and he was left standing there wondering what to do next.  Was he going to have to change his flight from Paris to Nairobi because  he wasnt going to make his connection?  That decision was too hard to wrap his brain around.  So he/we sent prayers heavenward and to our delight another  alternative came to light...that is why  he's on a plane headed to the city of canals and hippies and drug addicts and free love!!   From there hes going to have to take a train to Paris to be there in time for his flight to Africa early Tues morning (12:00am)
Oh to be young again!!!
