Even though Im feeling terribly sorry for myself this evening...for our air conditioning in OUT, and its 110 degrees outside...how will I sleep tonight??!!!..... (we just moved in for pete sake!)
Please note that I was feeling anything but the need for a pity party this morning. In fact I was feeling sorry for everyone in St George whom we left behind in the 100 degree heat... as we drove to glorious Pine Valley, ie Pinto/ Mill Flat for our extended hiking experience.

It almost felt spring like!! There were wild flowers everywhere and butterflies and glowing, phospheresant dragonflies about!!!

There was a babbling stream....
with cold, cold water that felt oh so refreshing!!!

Our sweet guest this week is from Seattle....she felt quite at home here in our "forest." Leanne and I couldnt stop ewing and ahhing...... we are more accustomed to the red rock, not the greenery!!!

(can I admit here, that I went a few hours without worrying about Brian?! Is that terrible?)

How does one worry about anything here!!!???


Can I also tell you how nice it is to be hiking again!! I went several weeks without strapping on my trusty Keens....and I missed it so much!!! Its wonderful to be back gathering coral dust or forest dust between my toes!!!

And as we began our hike back out, the magnificant thunderheads rolled in and gave me the thrill of clapping and thundering for us a few times!!!

Who could ask for anything more!!!?
