What matters, therefore, is not the
meaning of life in general, but rather
the specific meaning of a person's life
at a given moment.

We are headed north today...to go and honor this little boy, who has grown to be a very fine young man!!
Tomorrow he'll have the daunting task of speaking in Church. The challenge there is to not become a blubbering idiot because ones emotions are so tender at this time in life...or..to try and sound as though you are a spiritual giant and completely ready for the huge task at hand. Good luck on either account Josh. In 11 days Elder Sharp will check into the MTC for 3 weeks to become spiritually charged and to gain confidence and know-how.
Then he'll soon find himself wandering the metropolis of Houston, Texas...where Anna trod as well...wondering what the heck he got himself into!!

It took 18 yrs of careful, tender care to get this young man, and any young man to this point in their lives. To leave behind the comforts of home and family and all things familiar- plus the joy of basketball or any other love for that matter, is tough. How grateful we all are that so many young men in our family have made this sacrifice in their lives....and gone and served. I havent heard a one of them express an ounce of regret!! And that of course goes for the women too!!
All missionaries seem to agree....
IT'LL BE THE BEST TWO YEARS OF THEIR LIVES!!!!
Just be obedient and brave!!!
GOOD LUCK JOSH WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH
