Once again I'll not be able to fully explain these pictures and the modern marvel that they represent. Today was the day I had to return to the dentist to make permanent what has only been temporary for the last week. My cracked/broken tooth needed a fix. I have a good dentist. He takes his time, and if I express interest in whats going on, he's only too happy to fill me in on whats new. Today I got a head full of new high-tech toys. (Just know that he described his newest toy as what could have been a home in Pine Valley.) What you are looking at here is a 'machine' that reads a computer program that has told it exactly what shape the missing piece of tooth should look like. And then this machine kicks in gear and begins, robotically, to carve out a tooth from a block of porcelain. It took it about 10 minutes, and he allowed me in the back room to watch the process. While I watched, he worked on 2 other patients, and came back, and placed that beautiful little porcelain chip snugly into place. It was so slick, so remarkable, so sci-fi!!! And I am whole once again!! Life is full of wonderous things!!!
