Stephenson Family Ties The Barn Burnt Down
And Now I See The Moon

A few years ago, a newspaper editorial described three levels of Christmas:
First
The Santa Claus Level
It's Christmas trees, food, fun, decorations, colorful packages, shopping and socials. "the level at which we eat too much and spend too much and do too much-and enjoy every minute of it." But soon the tree dries out, the toys break, dieting begins, and we notice that the lonely and hungry are still with us.
Next Level
The Silent Night Level
Its a higher and more fulfilling level; its enjoying beautiful Christmas carols, the Nativities, the Shepard's near Bethlehem, angels with glad tidings, the new star, and traveling wise men. But even this level will not long satisfy the desperate needs of our fallen world.
"Those who keep Christ in the manger will never find the mature Savior, and will still be disappointed and empty in the end."
Adult Level
Where all the expectations of both child and adult can be met. Where there must be power to change lives. Where Christmas can last all year. Where we are taught charity, love for the unlovable, and of forgiveness for our enemies. It is the adult Christ who give us a perfect example and asks us to follow Him. "Accepting that invitation is the way--the only way--to celebrate Christmas all year and all life long."
