I LOVE YOU THIS MUCH

My grandson made my day the other day!! (He makes my day every single day of his sweet life really)
I've been trying to teach him a little trick. Its completely selfish and self serving on my part. I admit it. But I also knew this 'trick' would be adorable-and make me feel all warm and fuzzy too!!
Here's how the trick goes. I would ask L, "How much does Grandma love you?" and then I'd show him how to throw his arms open wide-as wide as he could go. Well, as you may already know, my grandson is brilliant, and so in no time at all he had this stunt down flat. So now, on demand, almost like Pavlov's dog, I will only just begin the question and he's throwing his arms open wide for me-almost to the point where his chubby little hands meet behind his back!! SO CUTE!!! Its adorable and endearing and melts this ole heart of mine right down to pea soup.
And YES, of course this makes my day. But wait!! It gets a little better- a LOT better in fact.
A couple of day ago Bubba was sitting in his high chair enjoy a tasty lunch of hot dogs, carrots and cottage cheese. He had just arisen from his morning nap. He hadn't seen me yet. I came around the corner of the kitchen to tell him hello, and to ask him if he'd had a good nap...and he spotted me first and before anything was said, before I could even form a sentence, or ask a question, he threw his arms back in the most spontaneous greeting of love that I ever dared to expect!! "Grandma!!! I love you this much!!!" is what that gesture said to me!!!
Have I told you lately how much I love this little guy?
And to think that soon, quite soon, there will be two little boys to bless my life!!
WHEW- life is good!!!!!!
