HOW WE SPENT A HAPPY 4th

My morning started out with a glorious hike out at Camelback!!
I hiked with some lovely ladies visiting from San Diego, and Chicago.
(p.s.- I really can tell that I havent been hiking as much since I've been sick. That hill kicked my fannie!!)

When I returned home I went straight to work in the kitchen. I slaved away, getting ready for our evening BBQ. Just kidding-there was no slave labor involved.
I made potato salad
Tomato salad
and cupcakes!!
I was a slic'in, dice'in machine!!

Let the party begin!!

I admit that I frizzled out like last years sparkler, way before the city fireworks even began.

I hope that everyone had a nice 4th celebration!!
Thanks Lynley for the backyard pics!!

I participated in the Favorite Things Swap too...wasn't it fun! I'm going to have to contact Kelly though because I don't know my swap partner's blog name/address. I'd like to read a little something about her.

I wish I lived close to you...I so would have gone on that hike with you!

Cupcakes...my favorites!

It looks like your 4th was a success and fun from start to finish. How can it not be fun when you've got adorable little kiddos to spend it with!

Love these pics, C! Especially the ones of our adorable grand! He was loving those cute cupcakes you made! Thanks for letting me peek into your world every now and again...especially when I see some of my cute folks there, too.
