Look what the mailman brought?! Its about time this life line was sent to weary women such as I. This conference seems to roll around at exactly the most opportune time of the year. Winter is finally waning, spring is teasing, and my well of spiritualness(is that a real word?) is often dry and desperately needs a refill.
These three days in May are a feast to be sure. We feast on divine cuisine and the spiritual food found here is the best on the planet. There are old traditions that never fail us, but we are always open to new ideas and adventures as well. We have our favorite restaurant that is mandatory- Ottavio's,which really is as good as being in Italy! And its all the better because it includes the gorgeous, Italian speaking waiters, and our beloved accordion maestro. But we can always count on Judy finding us a wonderful, delectable new place for us to try too.
We feast on renewing friendships and always seem to make new friends as well. There's the BYU fudge and candy shop, ready to fulfil our every desire- and I always feast on the bursting bookshelves of the voluminous BYU bookstore. My tummy always comes away from Provo stuffed, as well as the trunk of my car, with books and more books that I couldnt resist purchasing. Without a doubt I come away from each Womans Conference experience a little better and a little wiser, and full to over flowing with the Spirit of our Savior burning brightly in my heart. I am renewed and ready for all that life will have in store for me. I do have some serious remorse that I haven't kept track of how many glorious years I've been able to attend this fine conference. Dare I say that its been at least 16-18 years with never a year missed!!?? I suppose May will be here soon enough. Amen!

"Come, gentle Spring! ethereal Mildness! come."

Let's hope for no rain, beautiful sunshine, and loads of fun (THAT we ALWAYS get!). This annual ritual seems to herald the spring - I CAN'T WAIT!
Cindy! I was talking with my Mom yesterday and mentioned to her that she and I should go this year! She's never been, and either have i! So, what do we do, where do we get tickets??!!!
I'm glad you got your postcard. Did you realize I'm the one who sent it?
This year should be great. It will be fun to see if we can connect while you are here.
