Stephenson Family Ties The Barn Burnt Down
And Now I See The Moon
"Books may not change our suffering, books may not protect
us from evil, books may not tell us what is good or what is
beautiful, and they will certainly not shield us from the common
fate of the grave. But books grant us myriad possibilities:
the possibility of change, the possibility of illumination."

Preparing for a move must have been happening  on a subconscious level for some time now.
(Another tender mercy from God.)
My pintrest board on "for the home" has had minimal leanings for some time now.
Now that we know we are headed to Logan Im making the best of down-sizing again. This time with more purpose and focus.
Everything I look at in this home, everything I pick up and put into a box I ask myself first, "do I need this, can I live without it?" Surpisingly, the answer is "no...I dont need it" more often than not.
Another thing that I learned from the afore mentioned book, The Geography of Bliss, is ironically,  helping me with my addiction to books, (which I have again ashamedly  already collected too many of in the last 2 years.) I gleaned from its pages that books are NOT trophy's!!  Could Eric Weiner be right!?  Have I gained some type of notoriety or satisfactions from my shelves of books?  YES!!!!  Most definitely Yes!!!  And...its not a bad thing.  But at this point is has been a pitilessness  help to me in order to give up what I collect books!!  Books are not trophys!!! Yep...that mantra helps me!!  (gulp)  My goal is to enjoy a book and then give it away so someone else can enjoy it too!!
(gulp) Or better yet...become a better friend of the library...better than I already have been. (I hate the overdue fines!!! I keep libraries in the black!!!)

Books are not trophy's

Books are not trophy's

Books are not trophy's

Im not sure yet how many boxes Im going to limit myself to...but I can promise you it will be way less than my desire's dictate!!

Again....Wish me luck!!!

Cindy, your generosity is beyond limits. Thank you, thank you. I hope and pray that you will continue to read, hike (Logan Canyon is one of my favorite places), and love as you've always done. My love to you and Bob...
