Stephenson Family Ties The Barn Burnt Down
And Now I See The Moon
I am not pretty. I am not beautiful.
I am as radiant as the sun.

“Blessed are the *Meek, for they will inherit the earth” –  (Matthew 5:3-12) [and also the love of this wife and every grandchild!!!]
The man who has always been the perfect example of everything good and right about fatherhood,
has now found the distinction in my eyes and in the eyes of his family  as  being the perfect Popa ever!  Yep...that would be My Builder!! ( I know, I know- these beautiful babies are surrounded by the most loving of grandpas and grandmas and great grandmas and great grandpas from each of their families. But today it's about My Builder.)
Its funny to think back to the time Before Grandchildren. [BG}  It's truly humorous to remember the denial and dread My Builder felt when he learned of the impending doom which was certain to come   as the name "grandpa" was to be added to his identity.
I think it took 23 milliseconds after holding dear L for the first time for him to overcome this lapse of good judgement on his part!!!
True to form, the affection of all pets and now of all grandkids, showers down on  Popa! Its a well deserved distinction, I believe...being favorite.
Popa is first one down on the cold tile floor to play cars.
Popa is the first to go outside to play on the grass.
Popa is the first to build towers to topple.
Popa is the first to invent intriguing playthings out of random household materials.
Popa is the first to be silly.
Popa is the first to hand out the goldfish.
Popa is the first to begin a  good hardy rough-housing.
Popa is always willing to enjoy the moment, without distraction.

Every morsel of grandparenting  is delightful. Sometimes we are tired at the end of a stay, but always, ALWAYS, we are grateful and blissful at our lot in life right now.  Who wouldnt be with these beautiful wonders under our feet!!??
And now..to think that yet another one will be joining us in a few short weeks!!
GLORIOUS I SAY!!!

* a meek man is defined as one who is not easily provoked or irritated and forbearing under injury or annoyance.  Meekness is not synonymous with weakness.  The meek man is the strong, the mighty, the man of complete self-mastery. He is the one who has the courage of his moral convictions, despite the pressure of the gang or the club.  -Harold B Lee  Decisions for Successful Living

This is sweet! L and O's eyes light up when they know we are going to Mimi and Popa's house. I am so thankful that my babies are surrounded by so many that love them to pieces.
