CAMELBACK at a Glance

There's a 25 minute ride- in the new van- to our destination near Gunlock, from downtown.
Camelback always promises wind and colder temperatures in the winter months.
Today the promise was broken!! Temps were nearly perfect.
My five layers of clothing, plus a scarf, mittens, ear-muffs...not really required for comfort this day.
Happy, happy are we!!
We tread jagged lava, washes of sand and gorgeous red sandstone.
The stream was running clear, COLD water.
Our five guests, of varied abilities, all had a marvelous time. Not a grumble, or vomiting due to exhaustion, or a blister anywhere. Sore muscles abound...but thats the goal!!!
2 wandering golden labs begged us, with sad, longing eyes to take them home with us. Where their master was is anyones guess.
Peaceful
Quiet
The warming sun, played hide and seek with us.
Pesky coral dust - unappreciated between some toes.
Exhausted guests- barely conversed all the way home.
We did our job well today!!!
