Adversity is like a strong wind. I dont
mean just that it holds us back from a
place we might otherwise go. It also
tears us from things that cannot be
torn, so that afterwards we see our-
selves as we really are, and not merely
as we might like to be.

First:
I need to post a note of thanks for all the comments and posts and facebook messages I have received in the last 24 hours in loving support of my aching heart. Im surprised at times what a powerful tool this blogging and facebooking can be. I feel surrounded by loving, caring, thoughtful friends; friends who truly help me get through times such as these. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I thank you for the phone calls and the emails. Its a wonderous time in which we live. Instantaneous encouragement in a wonderful thing, and I pray I can return the sweetness whenever it is needed by you!!!
Good things came of the trip north as well. We saw family again. We can never get too much of family. Its hard to see ALL the family we'd like to see, but count ourselves lucky to see whom we can. Most of the fun came watching the boy cuz's connecting up again after their separations during mission service. My oh my do I have handsome, talented nephews.
Clark also had some unexpected medical issues....who wouldnt after living as missionaries do in far off lands...and he was lovingly taken care of by his uncle doctor. whew....that was/is a blessing to be sure. Thanks Dr Brent and Kim too for your proxy parenting!!!!

And last but not least, we were able to visit Mr and Mrs Sherwood in their very own home. To see them nesting together and so happy and blissfully married was a treat indeed.
So all in all it was a good trip. (if only I could erase those 8 minutes at the curb of the MTC!!!) We cant wait for our first letter from Brian. Its back to watching for the mailman again.
Agan....THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT. I need it and I feel it!!!!
