Stephenson Family Ties The Barn Burnt Down
And Now I See The Moon

The Call Has Finally Arrived!!

In a very real sense not one of us is qualified, but
it seems that God continually chooses the most
unqualified to do his work, to bear his glory. If
we are qualified, we tend to think that we have
done the job ourselves. If we are forced to
accept our evident lack of qualification, then
there's no danger that we will confuse Gods
work with our own, or God's glory with our own.

Never in a million years would we have predicted that yet another son would be called to go and
serve in Chile!!! What are the odds!!! 3 out of 5 of our remarkable kids will have a tender spot for Chile in their hearts. And thats not counting the extended family that has served there as well!!!
Its hard to tell by these poor photos how happy, and relieved and how very SICK Brian is at the moment of opening the infamous white letter this afternoon.
Bri had three separate immunizations done yesterday, and now he is suffering because of them today. (a fever and aches and pains)

Its always the unknown that's the worst.
The waiting.
The wondering.
Now the pertinent questions have been answered.
Whew!!
Brian leaves for the MTC on July 7th!!
2 months of training and language studies...and he'll head to Conceptcion....Earthquake country!!!
(just around the corner in the broad sense of things!!)

Congrats to Brian! I keep thinking that your family must have had a very special connection to some Chilean spirits in the pre-existence! I'm sure Rob and Clark are thrilled, too. Happy day!
