So this is what its like getting old???
My body is experiencing technical difficulties.
And because it is misbehaving- I had the added insult of sitting in an unfamiliar OBGYN office, fidgeting nervously in my seat-while surrounded by a gaggle of young, hormonal, pregnant girls, who may or may not be attended by adolescent boys/husbands or nervous “supportive” mothers.
And squirm I did.
All that morning I debated with myself about whether I should pick up the phone and cancel the appointment.
But...I'd really had had enough of my 'technical difficulties' and was missing hiking more than you can imagine, so...
I did gird up my loins and persevered.
And I'll have you know I was richly rewarded for my bravery.
(We can now all safely assume that the outcome was a positive one-since Im writing about it here. )
*I found myself a wonderful new doctor
*I didnt need a full out exam.
*I have learned that the birth control pill, though it still makes me feel like it did 27 years ago- like Im pregnant!!!- it does serve other purposes as well. Im 'rebooted'!!!! Thank heavens!!!

Im happy to report that in a few short days I'll feel completely confident that I can strap on my Keens and be ready to gather coral dust between my toes once again!!

Due to my GREAT inactivity this week I have learned some other things as well:
My Builder is indeed a trooper and a dear.
My beautiful grandkids are a delightful and glorious distraction.
And finally ...I think I've had my FILL of the Olympics for four years!!
