It is invariably saddening to look
through new eyes at things upon
which you have expended your own
powers of adjustment.

Here’s the deal: put your playlist on shuffle and use the first ten songs that come up. Write down the first thing that comes to mind with each song.
1. Right in Front of You- Celine Dion
I remember her AMAZING show in Vegas!! What a voice, what a show, and to share it with Anna and my Builder and some dear Stephensons....worth every single vast penny!!!
2. The Sweet Escape- Gwen Stepani
Hauling my sorry butt up the stop sign hill, whooping my heart out right along with her!! Oh how the music helped!!
3. Crocodile Rock- Elton John
Jr. High School, ice skating with other rebellious teenagers at the local ice rink. It was the local hang-out every weekend in the winter.
4. Thank You- Dido
I heard this for the first time while living in Salt Lake. The song makes me recall my Builder and how good my life is because of him. Its a good song to remind me of all my blessings.
5. We Are the Champions- Queen
the memories are clouded...for various reasons. The past and present and football games and dances in the Jr. High auditorium are all jumbled together.
6. Killing Me Softly- Roberta Flack and ???-
I enjoy the remix better. (I have both) Jr. High was brutal, so I prefer the newer, modern version, which is much more fun and hip.
7. Queen- India Arie
Anna and I would sing this in the car together...ok, maybe she wouldnt sing, but instead roll her eyes at me as I 'sang.' Its a perfect woman's anthem.
8. Bad- Michael Jackson
sigh....
college days...which were wonderful
music videos, indoctrinating my own off-spring to the genius that this man was.
sigh...
danc'in in the kitchen!!!
9. Unanswered Prayers- Garth Brooks
Garth was my impetus into the love of country music. In the 80's
Thanks Garth
10. Turn Me On- Norah Jones
For some reason Norah reminds me of Arizona. Road trips and good times.
