I have another recommendation.
But let me say up front, that Im so glad I read the book first. Not because the movie butchered the book, but because it prepared me for the tale.
This is a faithful retelling of Boyne's novel.
ITs a bittersweet and haunting story centered in the Holocaust. It may not be perfect, but it will leave you moved and thinking.
Its a ideal book or movie to lead into discussions on a whole variety of topics.
ie:brainwashing, innocence, naivete, social conscience, etc,etc, etc
