I started off this beautiful day-a day without snow and clouds- by taking a dear friend and her family on a hike. She had a family reunion planned, and asked months ago if I would take all those that wanted to go, on a hike. YES, YES YES!! Is always my response!! I invited two of my 'surrogate' children along too... we had a wonderful time!! We endured gale force winds...but we still had fun and enjoyed the awesome beauty that is ours to behold!! (thank heavens the wind was coming from the south!!)
Meanwhile...closer to home, the Annual Kite Festive was in progress!! After dumping sand from our shoes, we headed out to enjoy all the kites sailing in our blue, blue skies!! Any opportunity to hang with dude L...is where I want to be!!
