I dance in my kitchen.
All the time.
And not one of my kids thinks its cool.
Not one of them.
They leave the room or roll their eyes, or beg me to stop.
I love to dance.
I know that I dont dance well. But I dont care.
I believe Justus is my only supporter.
And this is probably 'cause hes never seen such an old lady shake her bootie before.
My kids are used to it.
They barely tolerate it.
Still I dont care.
To let you know how odd I am....
THis YouTube clip made me shed tears of joy.
I wish I could have been there and been a part of that dance.
I speak about danc'in in my next life....
sometimes that feels like its too far away.

Ive just watched this again this morning...and I realize that my period just started, and that makes me all the more emotional...but Im crying again with joy. I wonder....how is there so much bad, evil, adn sadness in the world, when on the other hand you can fill a train station with dancers and wanna be dancers!? Why cant we all just dance together???!! I guess I need a midol and should go back to bed and keep dreaming.
I'm well beyond those Midol years, but am not afraid to tell you the video made me tear up too (could it have something to do with "kitchen dancing" - something I do on a regular basis myself?). Why haven't we ever danced in the kitchen together friend?! Go watch the T-Mobil dance in the Liverpool Station! It's a riot too! (But that one just made me happy, this one brought on those tears of joy because of the kids!) Thanks for a post that turned a sour morning into a happy sweet one!
Wouldn't it be COOOOOLLLLL!! If they'd do this again this summer? There's a good chance we'll pass through Central Station in Antwerp in June!!!
I am so glad I checked your blog today! I LOVED the video! love it! love to dance as well! I find my self kicking my heals up for the baby (whatever will keep him smileing) and occasionally I get to dance with my family or husband... such fun memories
That was great! I'd love to know that story behind how that was pulled off. There were an awful lot of people involved. Very fun.
