GENERAL CONFERENCE TIME!!

In seminary he had been taught that God had
completely stopped any overt communication
with moderns, preferring to have them only
listen to and follow sacred Scripture,
properly interpreted, of course. God's
voice had been reduced to paper, and even
that paper had to be moderated and
deciphered by the proper authorities and
intellects. It seemed that direct com-

munication with God was something exclusively
for the ancients and uncivilized, while
educated Westerners' access to God was
mediated and controlled by intelligentsia.
Nobody wanted God in a box, just a book.
Especially an expensive one bound on
leather with gilt edges, or was that guilt
edges?

Its Conference weekend!! Time just hastens on. How is it that 6 months have sailed by with hardly a ruffle in my feathers, (but Im sure a few more wrinkles on my face.)- and now its time once again to settle in for these next 2 days to feast on the modern day revelation given to us by our prophet and apostles and faithful leaders. Its a lovely way to be fed spiritually-while still in the warm confines of our own homes!!

How grateful I am for the tender, peaceful feelings I experience as confirmation that what I hear from our leaders is the truth. If you find yourself curious... go here and check it out for yourself.
