But nothing can take the place of love.
Love is the measure of life:only so far
as we love do we really live. The variety
of our interests, the width of our
sympathies, the susceptibilities of our
hearts--if these do not measure our lives,
what does??

I keep ruminating in my mind what an amazing blessing a missionary is to the world, to whole families, to the individual life, and to the lives of those around us. I dont think a day goes by now, that there hasnt been a new realization of yet another blessing that materialized because of Annas service. (I feel I should pause here and give a whole hearted nod to my two oldest sons, who also served faithful, diligent, worthy missions. I was never really allowed into their heads and hearts, as I have been with Anna; so Im left 'lacking' in relating how their missions effected them or the lives of others. Somehow I was left out of the loop-Im sure its a 'girl' thing. But I surely did feel the blessing, as they served; and now am witnessing the blessings as they have become dedicated, hard working, husbands, and fathers!!!)
This week with Anna held many more manifestations of the prevalent blessings that missionary service brings.
Old roommates were revisited after this long absence. True friendships never tire!!!
Dear companions in service, who will undoubtedly stay true friend forever!! There is so much unspoken and spoken devotion to each other. There can be no other bond like this!!!
Our lives have become all the fuller and more meaningful as these new relationships touch our lives. And all this joy and happiness????.....due to her leaving the comfort and ease of her life here at home, and heading out into the world to help spread the good news of the gospel of our Savior!!
WHAT I KNOW:
Our Christmas card list grows!!
The measure of Anna's life is LOVE!!!
