BELIEVE ME, I LOVE Mockingbirds--Really I DO!!!!

I think Im being stalked!!!
By a pair of angry, disappointed mockingbirds!!!

This weekend I stumbled upon a young bird with a badly broken wing. I had hopes that I could somehow help it. In the long run, I think I only prolonged its agony. (baby bird is now 'mocking' me from birdie heaven)
And now Im almost certain that its good parents are distraught and even pissed at me!! Pool-side felt different with 4 beady little eyes glaring down at me from the wisteria vine.
Perched RIGHT OVER MY HEAD!!!
Might I need protecting???
What I Know:
Its that ole momma guilt rearing its ugly head again!!!
