Human and artifical sound and objects
thrust themselves upon us;
they are within our sphere, so to speak:
but the life of nature we must meet halfway;
it is shy, withdrawn and blends itself
with a vast neutral background.
We must be initiated;
it is an order
the secrets of which
are well gaurded.

Have I mentioned before what a great place you live in?!!! So gorgeous. Thanks for the photos!
Those are the most incredible pictures! I hope there will come a day that I can join you on a hike in this beautiful place! Exercise wouldn't seem quite so bad if you were surrounded by scenes like this...
I am jealous of your green...only a month has snow covered the ground up north, and already I'm thinking it's time for spring. sigh. Maybe it's just confinement. Beautiful pictures!
