A Sudden Rush

"I shall take the heart," returned the Tin Woodsman;

is the best thing in the world."

My Builder and I dont talk about it as much as we used to.
Early on in our marriage, I tried to describe to my Builder a feeling that would rush over me-some might call it butterflies in the stomach. But my feeling should not be confused with the type of butterflies you get when your excited or nervous or just plain anxious about something...This unique sensation Im referring to,that we soon labeled- "surges", can swell over me on perfectly random occasions-at completely unexpected moments, when I am with him or sometimes just when Im just thinking about him.
I dont believe these "surging" feelings have lessened-I, regretfully, have just gotten out of the habit of telling my Builder about them. I want to reassure him of how very special I still think he is, how perfect he is, and how happy he makes me!
As a matter of fact I had a "surge" just yesterday, when my handsome Builder stood at the pulpit at church and delivered an inspiring, confident talk. "thats my Man!!!"
"Surges" still remind me-I am in love, even after these many years together-and he loves me!! How wonderful is this!?!?!

Love it! I had a "surge" a few weeks ago at church too. We stood to sing the intermediate hymn and I looked up at Spence on the stand and thought, "Dang, he's cute, and he's mine!" I must have made a funny face, cause we both started grinning which just made it worse! Aren't we lucky.
