Stephenson Family Ties The Barn Burnt Down
And Now I See The Moon

PARTING IS SUCH SWEET SORROW

The Time

There is a time for some things,
And a time for all things;
A time for great things
And a time for small things.
-Cervantes

So, they are mov'in out!
I have no right to be sad...but Im sad anyway!!!

I've grown used to the patter of little feet on our tile.
I've grown accustomed to his good morning smiles and his kisses goodnight.
I've enjoyed the company of my beautiful, talented D.I.L.
I've been enjoying the razing that Rob dishes out to his dear ol mom.
It's been wonderful having a partner in crime to watch movies with and to blog with.
I'll miss snuggling under under the covers with "L" and reading books together.
I've learned sign language with the smartest boy in town. There will no advancing for grandma without him.
Soup-the turtle- will miss "L's" oogling eyes.
Who will Grandpa eat nuts with?
The basketball will soon be lonely and still.

They are only moving across town. Not to Siberia!!! I know Im really blessed that they are going to only be a stones throw away.
Sunday dinners will be all the sweeter! Visits will be all the more precious!! We've been spoiled beyond imagination, and have relished the spoiling to the point of ecstasy! Im so very grateful we shared this time together. So grateful!
Its been fun and we wish them all the happiness that having your own space brings.

ahhh, parting is such sweet sorrow. i, too, am going to miss the little fam. i won't get awakened by a little fist beating on my door or have anyone to snoop through all of my drawers til he finds his bell. movie nights will sadly be one person shorter, and i will feel more stress to cook more. (i haven't missed this btw)

i know that it's all good to be in one's own space, and i should probably get crackin' and move out, too, but it's nice to have family and friends so close.

it will be something to get used to, just like having us all come at once was something else to get used to right?

:O)

I'm going to miss some things....but I am ready to have my own space back! Thank you millions for living with me the past months and for yummy meals and laughs and movie nights!

Oh, Grandma, doesn't that face just kill you? It has been a blessing for all of you to be so close, and I'm grateful for the love you've showered on the little fam, too. We miss all of you, but it will be kind of nice to have a place to land when Gram's place is filled up in the future. Yep, Sunday dinners are the best time to catch up on those smooches!

Excuse me if I don't cry too many tears for you, "Grandma-with-the-grandbaby-clear-across-town." JK
