And Now I See The Moon

Politics Will Drive Out Wordless Wednesday!!!

OK !! I guess I've just got to go ahead and do it. I feel inclined to express my humble opinion about whats going on with this Presidential election. More specifically about the Republican V.P. candidate, Sarah Palin. Im going to try to sound like I know what Im talking about. There are so many factors to this race. And then there just arent!!! Its simple. As I see it...its all about stepping into Socialism vs. democracy.
EASY!!
But I regress.
Im stepping forward and expressing my 'distaste' for whats happening around Sarah Palin. My first reaction to Sarahs nomination....EXCITEMENT!! True excitement. A mold was broken. Hillary failed! Go good woman!! And now I want to eloquently rush to her defense. I will fail miserably at the eloquence, but Im not going to remain quiet. I will voice my outrage. There is absolutely no excuse for how the Liberal Left driven media is treating this woman!! It is nothing less than shameful!!
Who the heck cares about past family mistakes?! Do they matter?? We've had drinkers, addicts, womanizers, adulterers, perverts, and all other deviant behaviors present in the oval office!! I'm talking about as President!!! (Im not even going to muck things up by getting into past Presidential family's behavior-thankfully, you'll say) Do we really care that Sarah's husband had a DUI when he was 22 years old?? Or that their 17 yr old daughter is pregnant?!? Doesnt this just make them like all the rest of us here in America?!? They're NORMAL!! Also Sarah disclosed this BEFORE she took the spotlight. She is truthful, she is real, she appears almost average. (though no 'average' citizen would jump into this quagmire without fear and trepidation and GREAT courage and optimism-right??) I believe this must mean that she truly believes in the American dream, and in the ability of this government to make a difference.
So....I really dont care that there are 'mistakes' in the past. I care about their character!!! I read recently about some things that we should 'care' about. One lady wrote-"I care when "someone" WONT(not because of a war disability) properly salute the flag!" I know I personally care when "someone" has some real ties to radical extremists who disdain America and our way of life. I think we should care that "someone" wont wear an American flag-UNTIL political pressure is applied. (can a two faced, wishy washy candidate be trusted?) I care that this race is about race, not issues!!!
So yes, Im a tad mad and frustrated. But on the next hand Im also doing my very best to remain optimistic!! Those with morals and brains and voices will not let this media driven frenzy around Mrs. Palin hinder our decisions. We'll vote for the candidate who shares our beliefs. We'll vote for the candidate that we believe will do their best job to take care of America and its people. A candidate who will go to bat for our children, our families, our veterans and soldiers, and the future!!!
WHAT I KNOW:
I am so looking forward to tonight. Im DVRing the speeches tonight. (I've never before had such an interest)
Also, our church sends out a letter each year, at election time, stating its neutrality in politics. We are counseled to become informed and knowledgeable on the issues of the day. And we're counseled to pray for guidance in our personal decisions. I say let us PRAY!! We NEED God to be here!!!

I enjoyed reading that Cindy! Thank you.
I don't read up on all this stuff and watch all the shows about it. I need to be familiar with it though, and be knowledgeable about this day and age. I think it's wonderful Gov. Palin was chosen and I hope she has a chance to show us what she can do!!!

Totally agree, and like Rush said, we have got the 'babe', and that is what is driving the libs crazy, first because she is a much better VP choice than the same ole, same ole, Biden, but also because having a woman on the ticket takes away alot of flash and uniqueness to the 'black' on the dem ticket. They are no longer original and fresh. Hang on for the next 60 days.
