Stephenson Family Ties The Barn Burnt Down
And Now I See The Moon

Its Builder Appreciatiion Day!!

My Builder has a heritage of some Icelandic and Brit blood. My Builder is easy to live with. And I do live with him 24/7, as he works from home. He is generous and kind and patient. I am often lazy and quick tempered and impatient. He likes popcorn and ice cream and will gladly eat anything I put before him. I like raw pasta and pizza and Pepsi (look at that, it rhymes!) and hiking. He likes to putter in the yard and playing with 'L'. I like movies, and and playing with 'L.' He likes the simple things in life; I wish I could dance. What do we both like!?!? Each other!!! Never has he tried to impose his likes upon me. Never has he tried to choose my friends or curtail my kitchen floor dancing. (Though he will ever so quietly roll his eyes at some of my get-ups at times.) Never has he pawed over money spent on my needs and wants. He hangs his dirty laundry on all the hooks that surround the laundry basket-he seems to have an aversion to actually depositing the clothes in the bin. He switches the tv off at any opportunity. He waters the back lawn way to often. He has a hard time making decisions. But if this is the 'long' list of his 'faults' you will heartily agree that I am one lucky woman!! And these said 'faults' are EASILY erased by his great spirit of kindness, as he leads us in quiet humbleness. His helpful hand around the house and the peace and love he shows us all still lets me be me, with all my foibles and shortcomings. My heart and soul are his, and his alone.

Wow, you almost make me cry the way you so beautifully express your love for that mean older brother of mine. No wait, that was 35 years ago or so. He's mellowed out considerably since we were teenagers.
