Roommate: Hello
Caller: Hello, is Cindy there?
Roommate: Which Cindy? There are two of them living here.
Caller: Well...how about the Cindy from California?
Roommate: They're BOTH from California!!
Caller: Then how about the Cindy that invited us over for dinner?
Roommate: hummm....we have 4 guest here already for dinner...Im sure that you could come over too and join the fun. Those two are always inviting people over-especially guys!!!
Caller: I guess Im looking for the Cindy with the long, glossy locks of black hair.
Roommate: OH!!!!! Why didnt you say so..............CINDY!!!!!

Im just so grateful that I shared them with some really wonderful people.
Through my first 2 years I had Cindy.
We didnt meet until we both moved into the same dorm our first year in Rexburg. Soon we were inseparable.
And then life carried on, and we went our separate ways after we each married. We did ok for a while, keeping in touch via Christmas cards (kinda pathetic really) And then even those dwindled down to nothing.
Then the other day................
The phone rings.
Only a few short words were said, like "hello" and "is this Cindy?" and I knew immediately who was on the other end of the line. (this is encouraging news by the way-at least I now know that my auditory synapse aren't shot! They pulled Cindy right out of the deep recesses of my mind.) I recognized her immediately!! And we were soon giggling like the college coeds we once were.
Bless you dear Cindy for reaching out-across a healthy length of time-once again!!! May I do a better job of staying in touch from this time forth!!!
