The mailbox on our curb held a treat this weekend. There was a big, fat envelope containing letters from Sister Anna!! There was a letter for Bri and Lynley and one for us!! And it was all good news!! She let down her tough exterior-for just a moment- and shared with us that she does indeed desire to return home. She admits that when her time is up it will be wonderful to see our mugs and hold babies and hang-out with her brothers and sister-in-laws!! She's been ever so careful not to allow herself to fall into a common trap of dwelling on things at home. She doesnt want to become 'trunkie.' (there really seems to be NO danger of this in her case.) She even talked of us coming to visit and seeing 'her Texas' when she finishes her service. And she also dropped a possible release date of December 17th!!!!!!! Be still my heart! And yes, my oldest son did walk in the room while I was reading and weeping with joy, and rolled his eyes like always. (this boy has no empathy what-so-ever) But I dont care...my baby girl threw me a line, and Im holding on tight!!! Bless her!!!
Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing. ~Agatha Christie~
For nothing is fixed, forever and forever and forever, it is not fixed; the earth is always shifting, the light is always changing, the sea does not cease to grind down rock. Generations do not cease to be born, and we are responsible to them because we are the only witnesses they have. The sea rises, the light fails, lovers cling to each other, and children cling to us. The moment we cease to hold each other, the moment we break faith with one another, the sea engulfs us and the light goes out. ~James Baldwin~

The greatest adventure is what lies ahead. Today and tomorrow are yet to be said. The chances, the changes are all yours to make. The mold of your life is in your hands to break.

Adventure is a path. Real adventure -self-determined,
self-motivated, often risky-forces you to have firsthand
encounters with the world. The world is the way it is,
not the way you imagine it.
