One of the few things I did in order to prepare for Clarks departure was to bake up a storm, and fill the freezer with yummy cookies!! I even had left-overs for Lake Powell!!! My sweet niece, Carly, has asked me for my recipes. My motto: share one, share all!!! Here's how to make the cookies that Im willing to take the time and effort to actually bake!!!



GINGERSNAPS
(Annas favorite)


1 1/2 cups of shortening
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cups molasses
2 eggs
Beat until fluffy

4 1/2 cups of flour
4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves

Mix dry ingredients together with wet ingredients.
Roll into small balls, then roll in sugar.
Bake-375 degrees
Time-10 minutes

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
(Clark and Brians favorite)


2/3 cups shortening
2/3 cups butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar-packed
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
3 cups flour
2 cups semi-sweet chips

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix shortening, butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 8-10 minutes
