33- APRIL 6: Jesus is resurrected
610- APRIL 6: The first passages of the Muslim holy book, The Koran, are delivered to Mahammad.
1759- APRIL 6: George Friedrich Handel gives his last performance of the "The Messiah," dying 7 days later.
1789- APRIL 6: George Washington is elected President of the United States, the only president ever to be elected unanimously.
1830- APRIL 6: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints if formally orgainized.
1889- APRIL 6: George Eastman introduces the first Kodak camera.
1893- APRIL 6: The Church dedicates the Salt Lake Temple after 40 years of construction.
1896- APRIL 6: The modern Olympic Games are inaugurated in Athens
1909- APRIL 6: Americans Robert Peary and Matthew Henson become the first men to reach the North Pole.
1930- APRIL 6: The first Hostess Twinkie is invented by James Dewar, a baking executive. A BILLION of these are eaten every year.
1954- APRIL 6: Swansons introduced the first heat and serve TV dinners. Meal time has never been the same.
1965- APRIL 6: The world's first commercial communications satellite, Early Bird I, is launched into orbit.
Sidenote: In the last 300 years- Easter Sunday has fallen on April 6th eleven times: 1738, 1749, 1760, 1806, 1817, 1828, 1890, 1947, 1958, 1969, and 1980. Easter will next occur on April 6th in 2042.
