I love my country!
I truly believe it was ‘ordained’ from the beginning of time, to bring forth great and marvelous things. (Where much is given, much is expected!) I believe that our early leaders were guided by Divine Providence. How grateful I’ll always be for these great leaders-who were most definitely men of God.
2,300 years before the leaders of this great nation fought and won the battles for freedom and democracy- it was prophesied in scripture that our nation would be reserved and then delivered by the Power of God, from the hands of ‘all other nations.’ (1Nephi 13:19) We are never again to find ourselves ruled by kings or to feel the oppression of unrighteous dominion! On the condition-of course- that we would worship our God and strive to keep His commandments.
The world as we know it today is most assuredly forgetting the significance of our beginnings. All I can do, on account of being a very small cog in a messed up world, is to try my best to educate my children and now my grandchildren of the GREAT privilege it is to live in this blessed land, and to always strive to do our part in making educated choices and more importantly, to have faith and optimism in the future. If we are doing all we can do, we shall not fear!!
So I’m sending out my thanks and gratitude into the cosmos to general George and anomalous Abe, for the unbelievably gargantuan tasks they took on in helping to establish a new-born, struggling nation!
