On any given cold, cloudy, rainy morning I would usually opt to roll over and go back to sleep under my warm blankets. Its truly remarkable how my hiking job has shifted my natural tendencies towards laziness and abhorrence to voluntarily subjection to cold. Now I get up and bundle up my body with warm clothes and head out to a hike! Even under the threat of rain!

This morning we enjoyed a bonus treat while hiking. Our beautiful red rocks had mist and low lying clouds hovering around their tops! It was so beautiful. I am unaccustomed to the benefits of moisture in the air and what it can do around here. The moss turns floresent green. There is reflective water puddled up in rock cavities, and the cloud cover also keeps in a little warmth. It was a delightful morning in Snow Canyon State Park!!

Wow, I can't believe that moss! I remember you telling me about it when it was raining so much a couple years ago (when you had that big flood), but actually seeing it is another thing altogether!
