Why do movies like this get poor reviews from the Hollywood critics? Im really beginning to wonder if they know anything!
Why I enjoyed this flick.
1. It made me laugh out loud on many occasions. The conversations felt real and alive and not contrived.
2. Gerard Butler! (enough said)
3. It made me cry. Wedded bliss cut short, stings.
4. The soundtrack is fabulous!!
5. The cast is amazing! Kathy Bates, Hillary Swank, Lisa Kudrow, Harry Connick Jr., and did I mention GERARD BUTLER?
Its not a movie for young kids. Mature subjects come with the theme. The PG-13 rating is well founded. But go see it if you dare. Its a hoot and a means for a good tug at ones' heartstrings.

Great movie! It's been a while since I laughed and cried at a movie so much! I'd already like to see it again. Thanks for the fun 'girls' outing!
