Yes I believe I do.
I believe in the extra-ordinary power of things.
I believe in unlimited possibilities.
I believe that there are wondrous, dazzling things among us that cant be explained-YET. Or that there are things that just aren’t meant to be explained- YET
I relish and cherish the feelings of breathlessness and awe that I am occasionally blessed to experience. I am not discouraged by what I don’t understand. I am challenged by it and am often invigorated by the unexplainable.
My Questions for You-
Can music have magical powers? I say YES!!! ‘Magic’ and music seem to often go hand in hand. History is full of spellbinding stories about the conception of masterpieces at the hands of a musician and a professed supernatural power. Handel’s’ story is chalk full of mystery and wonder. The Messiah wasn't solely composed because of Handel’s great talent. He wrote of a mysterious experience as the music 'came' to him. History is full of such tales. Musicians, scientists, writers, etc have had experiences that cant be explained in any other way except to say that it happened as if by magic!
Music can change ones spirit from one emotion to another with just a few notes. Music can transport us....
Is it magic that the heart rate of an individual can be reduced by just petting an animal?
Is it magic that the touch from a person can heal or have a ‘magical’ effect on someone?
Is it magic that a work of art or a story can change ones outlook on life or confound us?
Is it magic to give or receive unconditional love?
Is it magic that a little black seed can grow to a watermelon? (a seedless watermelon no less!!)
Is it magic that the electron, the proton and the neutron are the building blocks from which ALL matter in this world is constructed?
I do believe in the possibilities of supernatural powers. There are wondrous powers at work in the universe that are bewildering to us right now. Phenomenon happen all the time that are completely baffling, but marvelous to behold none the less.- They give us pause to ponder with spellbinding wonder and awe.
There is the fun of pulling a coin out of someone’s ear, or making a 747 disappear from a stage. There’s reading someone’s mind or levitating off the ground, all of which are cause for speculation to be sure. But... I love the possibilities!!!
The ‘smarter’ this world gets, and the more scientific we become....may imply that we should discount the magic in our lives. I say- "No way!!" I’m with Roald Dahl—
“And above all watch ,
with glittering eyes
the whole world
around you. Because
the greatest secrets are
always hidden in the
most unlikely places. Those
who don’t believe in magic
will never find it.”
Does everything we see before us need an explanation?
I believe our Maker has left us MUCH to ponder, with our limited understanding. He may want to keep us guessing and keep us humble. Or… have us be amused? I for one am happy about that. I like not knowing how everything works. I like learning and having my eyes opened a little bit at a time. I like the sensation of the inconceivable and the enchanting working in my bosom from time to time.
LOOK for the magic in your life! MAKE magic happen!!
And with that, I'd like to add this magical, musical video for you to enjoy!! Love you all!! (dont forget to turn off my music below)

I believe in magic too! I'm glad I don't know how everything is done too or what else would I have to wonder, ponder, dream and imagine! That music video was fun and weird!
I got an ipod touch for Christmas. THAT is MAGIC! How do they make it so I just touch it and everything scrolls on past? That little rectangular piece of magic holds thousands of songs, videos, I can watch youtube videos from anywhere in my house, it has a calendar, room for thousands of pictures - all in that little tiny rectangle. The date thing is just like a little wheel that clicks and turns on each number. I can pull up a picture, and then just by touching the screen with two fingers zoom in on any area of the picture I want - move it all over. Amazing! And it's less than a 1/4 inch thick or some crazy thing like that!! I told my Dad when I showed it to him "this thing is magic!". His response - "anything that you don't understand is magic". I couldn't agree more. Can you imagine handing one of these to Benjamin Franklin? Or Leonardo DaVinci?!! We surely live in an age of mystery and wonder!
Love the Feist video by the way - make sure you watch the one for 1234 - it makes me smile!!
