is for vertebroplasty.
What the heck is vertebroplasty!!? I will attempt to give you a layman's definition.
All I profess to know is what I learned while watching my mom deal with her bad bones. In July, she had her first episode with what turned out to be a long ordeal in pain and patience for her and dad. The vertebra in her lower spine began to

collapse. (painful to say the least!!!) While searching for solutions and remedies for her, they came across a doctor that recommended vertebroplasty. Its a non-evasive way of going in with a needle and 'filling' the smooshed bone up with cement. The procedure is done and she gets off the table and goes home! Its quite remarkable if you think about it. Mom calls it a miracle cure. We are all just hoping and praying that it 'holds' and lasts a good long time.
So,I think its a good reason for using this as my V word. She feels like a new woman. Thank heavens for VERTEBROPLASTY! Thank heavens that mom is feeling better.

A little more about my mom. She is wonderful! She lives down the street. She's amazing! Service to others will go down as her middle name. I should be so lucky to turn out like her. (With better bones of course!)

After reading this post I got to thinking about how much you are like your Mom! Definitely in the service to others area. I remembered specifically an incident that happened when I was 17. Remember the gargantuan cyst on my ovary and how I had to have it removed? Your Mom came and stayed by my bedside for HOURS at Stanford Hospital - taking care of me and comforting me. She was truly an angel. Flash forward 20+ years and we have you, coming to my aid and comfort following my horseback riding debacle. You were my angel then! Isn't it wonderful- the good things we learn from our Mom's! Love her dearly while she's here - I miss my Mom terribly!!!
Oh AAARRRGHH!
I just read what I posted. I was having a "senior moment" when I said "flash forward 20+ years". Wow! What would it be like to remain under 40 forever. But alas, it should read "flash forward 30++ years".
I'm going to go put on my night cream now......
