One of my new year resolutions is going to be to read more books! I think this idea will be a fun way to kick off the year, and to get us aquainted with what others are reading. (can I say here how twisted I am- whenever I write the word 'others' I think of LOST!)Lets try this:
1. Grab your nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Tag 10 different people. (5 will do too)
(not all the book nerds I know have blogs. But I still choose you. So just post to my 'comments' line on this post.)
"More specifically, the key insight was that two elements that appear to be simultaneous to one observer will not appear to be simultaneous to another observer who is moving rapidly. And there is no way to declare that one of the observers is really correct. In other words, there is no way to declare that the two events are truly simultaneous."

Cindy, fun idea!! Also, I checked out the link to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman...Oh, my gosh, what a cute site! I read all about her Camera FAQ and inspired me to want to read and learn and try new stuff with my camera!
"Helen Keller developed an incredible capacity to enjoy an extremely wide range of sensations at astoundingly subtle levels. Her teacher, Annie Sullivan, did much to help Helen experience the world in the ways she still could. She placed an egg in Helen's hand precisely at the moment it was about to hatch."

Cindy, I saw that you are reading Princess Academy! That is one of my absolute favorite books! Have you read Goose Girl? I just got three more of Shannon Hale's books from the library and I can't wait to start them. I'm getting my wisdom teeth out on Friday so maybe I'll read them while I'm recovering this weekend. I'm glad you're getting a book discussion going!
PS I'm gonna steal a couple of your page element ideas...hope you don't mind, I can't help but be inspired by you! :)
