ENCHANTED

Knowing full well that I will sound completely cliché, I want to say that I was quite ‘enchanted ‘ with the Disney movie ENCHANTED. I hope I never get too old or too fuddy duddy to find delight in such movies.
WELL DONE DISNEY!!!
It looks like your going back to the tried and true form of Disney films. The kind of movie that made them rich and famous in the first place. Duh
May we all not take ourselves so seriously that we cant find fun and pleasure in a delightful princess story. Come to think of it, I cant think of a better princess movie!!
I’ll confess right here that I’ve seen the movie twice already. And I know that I’ll see it a few more times in the comfort of our own home and theater. But… when that happens, I’ll miss sitting amongst small children, in a dark theater, and listening to them laugh and giggle throughout the tale.
That is part of the fun of paying good money for a ticket and sitting with our fellowmen and enjoying the telling of a delightful fairytale.
The other reason I found such enjoyment from this movie would be the personal connection I feel I now have. (I bet you’re wondering how there could be anything personal about a Hollywood movie in my life?) And, No, I didn’t fall into an
alternative reality at the hand of a nasty witch, nor do I yet have the joy of owning my own cute and talented chipmunk. Yes, I do have the perfect prince in my life, and we are finding true happiness with loves true kisses. (But now I’ve strayed from my point) My personal connection to this movie would be in the coincidence of being in New York City on a family vacation, and strolling the paths of Central Park on a day when the filming was taking place for this fun movie!! How about that??!! When we were in the Park, there were brides and grooms all over, and a mile long line of people standing around longing for the chance to be ‘extras.’ We even visited with some of the filming crew. One of them was kind enough to take our picture in front of the famous fountain before we had to clear out so they could begin filming again. There was a white and purple carriage and lights and balloons and tons of activity. By golly-- we were there!!! How fun it would have been if we had been lucky enough to see Geselle, gliding through the park singing the praises of true love, wearing the dress she made from the nursery curtains. Not to mention how fun it would have been to get a glimpse of darling “Prince Edward” or hunky McDreamy.
Isn’t life wonderful?! Surprises around every corner. Give yourself a break and slip away a moment from reality and see Enchanted. I don’t believe you could be disappointed.

How fun for you! It was a fun movie - but I don't think my favorite princess movie. I'm going to have to think about that..... I'll get back to you on my vote for favorite princess movie.
But I really did enjoy Enchanted!!!

I loved Enchanted! I think it would so fun to dress up in a ball gown and go to a big dance like in the movie! I'd have to learn how to dance first though!

We finally went to see Enchanted and before it hit the dollar movies! We loved every minute of it - even Daniel and a 13 yr. old boy cousin got into it with us. Oh to dance and sing in Central Park someday!
