A covenant is a two-way commitment or promise between
man and God.
If we covenant to do the things the Lord
asks us to do, he enters into the
process and commits
Himself to us. In covenanting we not only marshal
and energize the powers within ourselves; we also
release in our behalf the
powers of the God of
Heaven. In such a covenant, heaven is moved and
new
energies are generated in the mortal covenant maker.
