It takes most trees more than 5 yrs to grow enough in stature to bear much fruit or grant shade. It takes a lemon seed five yrs to grow to the point where it can bear fruit.
It take 5-7 yrs for a hippo to mature.
It takes the average person 5 yrs to get a college degree.
A savings bond isnt worth much any time before 5 yrs.
Most bamboo has grown to maturity and then died in 5 yrs.
A gold fish matures in a few months...a starfish takes 5 yrs.
It takes a baby/toddler 5yrs before we can ship them off to school for the first time!
So how is it that in these last lightening fast 5 years I have accumulated the grand total of 8 grandchildren!?
The exponential growth factor on this is crazy!
Granted...one darling granddaughter came by way of a previous marriage...sweet Lucie!
Additionally, this is my official announcement that we have 2 more grandbabies due in January of 2012!
Sweet Anna is expecting her first child.  (can I say how different it is to have a daughter pregnant than it is to have a daughter-in-law with child? )
And sweet Natalie is also due in January with beautiful baby #3!!  (I know its going to be beautiful...look at the evidence in #1 and #2!!!)
What makes my head swim even more....I still have two kids not married yet!!!
I am so grateful!
