Stephenson Family Ties The Barn Burnt Down
And Now I See The Moon
I learned this, at least, by my experiment:
that if one advances confidently in the
direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live
the life which he has imagined, he will meet
with a success unexpected in common hours.
from: Walden: Or Life in the Woods
by: Henry David Thoreau

I hadnt realized that I'd been holding my breath these last 5 months...until last night.
It was then that I spontaneously let out an audible sigh and my vision cleared and tears of gratitude streamed down my cheeks. Last night- through the ever effective family grapevine, we learned that Utah State University finally realized what a treasure and asset they had at their very doorstep in David Sherwood!! They finally put their money where their mouth was and granted them a very generous grant!!! Funding for his remarkable research has come through. (and please dont ask me what he's researching...for Im not smart enough to explain. Just know that its brilliant!) Finally we know for sure that David will be able to continue to work and learn and develop something quite remarkable in the field of agricultural. Thats the simple minded explanation. They no longer have to walk around on pins and needles wondering where the future will lead them....for now they know!!! USU has got their back!!! And USU will not regret it!!!
So the waiting and wondering is finally over.
The work will now begin in earnest and I can hear the excitement in Davids voice.
And I once again send my gratitude Heavenward!
