Stephenson Family Ties The Barn Burnt Down
And Now I See The Moon
Heaven is under our feet as
well as over our heads
-Henry David Thoreau

After a week of being an invalid...
This morning I was finally able to hike!!!
And I took a risk this bright, cheery dawn...
for normally we wouldnt dare venture out to Camelback at this time of the year.
But.... we have been enjoying unseasonably WARM weather lately...like in the 60's folks!!!!
So I threw the dice and we loaded the guests into the van and drove ourselves out to the nether regions.
And low and behold...we alighted from the van and nary a rustling breeze!
Almost always, wintertime winds howl through this area!
It wasnt long before we were all striping down to a single layer of clothing and enjoying a most glorious hike!!
Shady spots were frosty and cool. Reserection moss was green and sometimes brittle and slippery on the north facing walls...but other than that....
oh was a magnificent day we had!!!
Oh how fabulous it felt to be out again among the living, hiking again!!
